Angus
There is an industry rumour that Angus actually has concrete pumping through his veins! Despite being a trade-qualified carpenter, concrete soon took over as his focus and led to the establishment of Angus McMillan Concrete in 1994. He still loves getting his hands dirty out on the job, but now has to divide his time to cover company management and his roles as Chairman of the New Zealand Master Placers Association and member of the Hawke's Bay Contractors Federation executive.
Carol (Angus’s better half)
Carol has multiple job descriptions. She manages the new Trowel Trade Store, Angus McMillan Concrete and she is also the manager of the New Zealand Master Placers Association. You would think that with all this responsibility and work there would be no time for fun but don’t worry there is plenty of mischief goes on around the office.

Scott
Scott works in our office with the girls. Scott deals with all our builders and contractors he quotes jobs runs jobs and organises the staff on a daily basis. Scott says the best thing about working for AMC is being so close to Kools Chicken!!!

Kristina
Kristina is Angus & Carol's daughter and has inherited the family 'concrete gene'! After completing a Diploma in Civil Engineering at Hamilton, she worked for a large Auckland concrete company as a sales rep before returning to Hawke's Bay, bringing another concreter to the family - her husband Tony. Kristina is our residential sales consultant and marketing manager and she has also started a course in landscape design.

Tony moved to Hawke’s Bay with Kristina to get married and to broaden his knowledge of concrete. Tony worked in Auckland for a concrete contractor working on large commercial slabs Tony can operate a laser screed, Bobcat, digger and various other types of machinery. Since the move Tony has learnt a lot more aspects of decorative concrete and is very confident with stamped concrete.

Digger Crew
Evan is our full time digger operator, with Tony and Angus helping him out when needed.

Boxing Crew
Our boxing team consists of Dave, Paul and Barry between them they have a world of knowledge, no job is to tough for these boys.

Concreting Crew
These are the boys that get to live out their childhood dreams of playing in mud and they get to do it every day. The boys on the job are Ben, Travis and Ricky as well as Angus and the boxing team joing them for large jobs.

Clean up Crew
Rangi is our number one clean up man he strips boxing, acid washes, grouts decorative cuts, applies sealer and any other odd jobs that need to be done.

Tony and Ricky handle our grinding work including Grinding, polishing and sealing.
